I am firmly on the side of no chases unless the subject is an immediate danger to the public greater than the danger of chasing him. Which is probably 1% or less of them. Get his plate, let him go. Deal with it later when all involved have had a minute to chill the hell out.

there are actually some surprisingly capable 3 wheelers from back in the day, which is part of the reason they stopped making them. honda ATC250Rs were screamers with the same 2 stroke honda was using in it’s top of the line dirtbikes. yamaha and kawi had similar rigs in the tri-z and 250 tecate. they were all loaded…

You’re not picking up 1000lbs though. Me as a scrawny teen (115lbs) picked up my Dad’s CB750 (almost 600lbs wet) when he was trying to teach me a life lesson after a few beers. It’s all about leverage.

And clearly my sample size is quite small too. But just from the models you mention and the cars I’ve shopped for, there’s a noticeable difference in the populations sampled. To put it in simple (if judgemental) terms, it’s boring automobiles versus interesting automobiles.
