Nah, you might be surprised how much people around the world love Harleys. They are super popular in Thailand, most people just can’t afford them. They do not carry the negative old guy stigma they have in the states. Harley is very smart to build factories in India and Thailand.

Ah ok, that makes a lot more sense.

29mpg? How did they make it so horrible? My 1st Gen Skyactiv Mazda 3 had similar power and was rated 28/40. And I typically got much better. Averaging 50mpg on several long trips.

Yes! Aldi is the only store I know of in the US that does this, I wish all stores did

NP if it was a manual, sadly its a Hondamatic which are rubbish from this era.

Loads of the younger generation love Harleys (Im not one of them but I know many) but guess what? The 2nd hand market is flooded with their bikes. Why buy new when you can buy one that’s been babied for 15 years? Harley’s are still selling, just not as many new ones.

Id say it comes from personal experience with both. I don’t know as much about Bajaj or TVS. RE’s have unreliable engines and crappy components. Some chinese components are better, some are worse. But at least the engines are rock solid Honda and Suzuki clones. Also I was talking about India market RE’s specifically

India is just as bad as China on component quality, actually I’d say most chinese bikes are better than India market RE’s.

Wow that is a lot of bike for the money. Have to wonder about the component and build quality. If it’s like RE its garbage.

It’s very doable, EPA approval is not hard to get for bikes. California is another beast though. Thats why there’s so many cheap Chinese bikes selling online right now.

Starting on a dirt bike is for sure the way to go. You will have much better control and feel more confident when you go to street. Still take an MSF course when you wanna get on the road though.

Never understood this, we got Wonderballs. With deadly hard candies just past the silky chocolate.

Eh, All this shows is what we've known for years. Electric is great but batteries still have a ways to go. You can go anywhere you like, it's just gonna take a lot more time.

Heh, an i3 caught me completely off guard one time at the lights. I was on my ZX6R and he leapt out in front as soon as it turned green. Definitely took me by surprise lol

This, being able to rip around without bothering people. It's amazing how much people don't care what your doing when your not making loud noises. Also the maintenance is incredibly minimal compared to a gas bike especially a competition/ MX style bike. I was seriously considering an Alta before they went under.

Myself and millions of others already do. The digital nomad lifestyle is growing big time

De criminalize lane splitting. Give incentives for motorcycle purchases 250cc or less. Problem solved. Only 10% of people need to ride to eliminate 50% of congestion.

The only place litre bikes leave middleweight supersports in the dust is on the wide open highway at stupid speeds. On track, canyons and normal roads you should be able to keep up just fine. Unless your riding with serious racers. I’ve yet to be left behind by a litre bike on any kind of twisty road on my ZX6R and I

Eh I think your overestimating the importance of big torque on a motorcycle. 1/4 mile times for 600 and 1000cc bikes are nearly identical. All the torque is just gonna maybe help off the line or simply send the front wheel skyward. Also you’ve only got 1 gear so it needs all that torque since your basically in 5th

Spec wise it’s about on par with a 600 supersport bike. Although priced like a 1000. (The top spec one anyway, the lower spec bikes are closer to a middleweight twin)
