The British were a huge influence on the Japanese car industry and motorcycle industry for that matter. That’s also why car badges are in English in Japan.

Never got the appeal of the styling on this bike, it’s unmistakable to be sure....it’s also but ugly, back then and now.

Why didn't they put it wide side across the scooters? That way he wouldn't have to hold up the back, just have one person on each scooter

Works out nicely when you buy them though, and really they hold their value pretty well. I don’t think I’ve lost more than a couple hundred on selling a bike I bought used. 

The engine should actually be pretty reliable as every bit of it was sent back to Toyota for durability testing, anything that wasn’t up to their standards was revised so that it did.

Fuck this bike and fuck Harley. They killed the most promising US motorcycle startup in years to get the tech to build this overpriced heap of shit. The performance numbers are garbage for a bike in this price range. R.I.P. Alta here’s to hoping CanAm revives you.

This, even most “standard” type bikes rev to 10k or more. Even my rolling sofa, The Voyager XII goes to 8.5k

Your level of education has very little to do with how much money you make in reality. Your not entitled to make x amount simply because you spent y amount on school. These jobs pay based on the market like anything else, less demand means less pay. Also I know plenty of college educated people that are borderline…

Hadn’t thought about the noise complaint thing. For me it’s the maintenance. You get the performance of a 450 race bike with just a tiny fraction of the maintenance costs. Please bring the Reshift back! It was easily the most impressive electric motorcycle in production and the MX application makes more sense than basically anything else for an electric bike.

2nd Gear- Uhhh why? Are they even successful in Europe right now? Last i looked they had a collection of pretty bland poorly built cars that are not exceptional in any way. What possible market success could they hope to find? What space in the market is there to fill? That huge hole left by Suzuki?

Anytime something like this comes up for sale(this happened with the Roxor too) there are tons of comments about how difficult or impossible it would be to register. My goodness have a little imagination people it’s fairly easy to get ANYTHING registered for street legality with a little effort.
