I got mine in FL and im in MD now, Ive got super dark above the AS1 and a relativly dark tint everywhere else. Its not super dark but you cant see in the front unless your about 10-15ft away. Never had any problems.

Front plates are required in MD too I just keep mine in my glove box, I got pulled over showed it to the officer and said Im waiting for the proper bracket, and he let me go. Ill be dammed if I put that thing on the front of my car
