Was about to say this. There has been some very decent Sonic games recently. However, Boom doesn't really speak to me, so I think I'll skip those.

Sonic Colors and Generations both say hi. And Lost World had its moments.

I was literally joking. Chill out. I note in the post that some taunts have been featured in the game before.

There have always been pockets of this stuff, but it was never as pervasive and protectionist among the fans in my memory. In the 90s it was mostly the decision men actively distancing themselves from a female player base. Even a lot the game designers I met in the 90s were generally cool people. The bias against

You know, in the 90s I wanted to design computer games. I started programming in basic on my C64. I loved that shit growing up. Problem was, every school I talked to told me that the comp sci (there were no game design schools back then) was not for me. Not for any women, in fact. Women have been actively

You know what? The casual/hardcore gamer distinction is horseshit.

Put the brakes on there, buddy. Using nitpicky semantics to fundamentally alter the nature of the discussion is BS. You want to say we are biological machines? Fine. I get the comparison. But you damn well know that this conversation is about artificial machines that are made by humans. While you want to reduce humans

I completely fail to understand this line of argument. Valve have released literally at least one game per year since Day of Defeat in 2003. Where the hell are people getting this?

I did take the time actually, I honestly thought you were joking. The point was that journalism does not = unbiased news. I attempted to make this point by pointing out two things. First, that if you naively imagine that the standard in journalism is unbiased news.. you are sadly mistaken and I am sorry to be the one

I've pretty much stuck out of Gamergate, sorry if I don't like paying attention to mindless drama. Kotaku is a blog and should be treated as such. While they do journalistic work, they aren't the most uptight about being "unbiased". I don't think having an opinion on something you are interested should be considered a

I'm more afraid of lionfish/trigger fish/groupers than sharks. Sharks really don't give a shit about you. It's the fish that are aggressive or territorial that you have to watch out for. Those and the venomous ones.

That's sad, yet another example of mainstream media vilifying sharks. More humans die each year from toasters than from shark attacks.

You can play as the shark? Sold. Jaws Unleashed on Xbox/PS2 was a fun game, a wide open ocean where you got to play as Jaws and eat/destroy as much as you want.

It's unfortunate how sharks almost constantly get a bad rap in the media. Shark Week SHOULD be the one time a year where we celebrate and learn about sharks but nope, sensationalist bullshit year after year now.

This looks amazing. Though, as a scuba diver I can tell you sharks are REALLY over played in games in terms of attacking humans. I've gone diving without cages on numerous occasions and never had an issue with the sharks. They really are amazing creatures and to be in the presence of something that has gone unchanged

YES! I found one! And it only took 232 years of soft resetting!

Of course there is. Up here in North America and Europe, we ARE the Empire. We control most of the world politically, militarily, and economically. Our past colonial efforts in the Southern Hemisphere are largely responsible for the present day instability over there.

The racial & historical implications here are so obvious.... Some people see themselves as oppressors and others as oppressed.

Here be Mandalorians.
