from what i understand you aren’t supposed to keep Lithium ion batteries (which I’m assuming is what this uses) at 100% or 0%, somewhere around 80% is ideal long term. i wonder how this handles that if it is left plugged in all the time (so that it is charged should the power go out). if leaving it plugged in for

I’m fine with criticizing the driver but the point is a really good one. Any reasonable police officer in charge of the scene would have demanded the truck lower its bed and get out of the left lane.

this is why i’m all for the advanced driver assist stuff to become even more robust and then mandatory

landing on another altima is just that extra bit more altima

I should have clarified. I was thinking about the at home nasal spray that was approved.

this meme is everything

Insurance companies won’t mind covering it because it is going to be cheap and quick. they are all about saving money. big pharma may have an issue with it however

I agree although that would imply that cell phones aren’t equally gross to touch. Granted at least it is YOUR phone. May not really see a sea change until we have augmented reality on a day to day as that would allow for a hands free experience (no menu, no cell phone)

they’ll lobby to ban the better chemistry lol

yes and no. if we can shift away from materials and chemicals that persist (non biodegradable, etc.) a large part of the problem will go away. A program that charges plastics producers for the amount of stuff they produce less the amount that they recycle would push industry in this direction. We need to create market

I’m on one of these. I agree with you totally. This has been a life saver for me but a combination of lower stress (how about I don’t lose access to healthcare should I lose my job?) and a healthier food environment (the stuff available for cheap, etc.) would be great

I’m on Saxenda which is in this new class of drugs. If you try and ‘eat through it’ you will feel unwell (all kinds of things from heartburn to nausea to general discomfort). But if you take a person with a healthy weight and force feed them an unhealthy amount of food that is the same reaction they will have

there are various reasons to do this. as long as the contract says payment on delivery (a normal commercial contract) and not one of the cost plus contracts that ULA got for the shuttle etc. then I’m fine with it. If these companies want to invest enough to develop technologies and systems to provide this capability

Just taking a stab at this. When you look at a planet you are seeing something that is at least in part being obscured by its own atmosphere, reflection of light in your direction from the surface and probably a bunch of stuff I’m not thinking of.

I haven’t seen a rash of completely frivolous RICO type cases recently popping up. I have seen these laws being used in creative ways to legitimately target criminal or otherwise illegal conduct.

there is a very obvious problem that will occur as some states decide to set a low cost to registering an EV and thus make themselves the default for vehicle owners. it’ll be like corporations and the state of Delaware. States can try and crack down by ticketing people that fail to register in state but that is a 4th

Someone has to pay to keep the lights on. Investors won't keep putting in money forever. Unless it is already profitable but can't find anything that says if it is (I doubt it is or it would have gone public already). Just a bunch of talk about it's revenue but nothing about its expenses

maybe but only for the bad language. not the content

well he doesn’t consider what he does abuse

one could guess that while they support federal and state laws which facilitate abuse they are also against cursing (and other things they consider sins). no one ever said the paternalistic fascists would be crass
