I'm in Europe myself, so I agree with you.
I know I'm in a minority on this, but I prefer the looks of the old Cayman. The new one moves more of the car's visual mass to the rear of the car... like a 911. To me, that makes it look a bit more stunted than the old car, which had quite a nice profile.
Very impressive, but who the heck buys a fun car and then has zero fun in it?
28 mph? I'd have expected a zero on the end of that.
Great stuff. It's kinda utopian in a way - owning and driving a car for no other reason than to enjoy it. No commuting, no running tedious errands, and not spending loads of money on fuel to do those things either.
Internet, a series of tubes? Everyone knows the internet comes in a box...
Wouldn't say that was "weird"-looking especially, but definitely one of the coolest race cars ever. Completely changed Volvo's image with car enthusiasts in the UK.
Sure, that's Jean Reno, but I'm pretty sure that's how all French people drive all Citroen BXs.
That should have been clarified - Downey Jr's take on Iron Man is supposed to be inspired by Musk, rather than the actual character Iron Man himself.
Not seen that one before. Even better than the Grand Am one!
Isn't the usual internet way of explaining you have no idea how cars work to argue 'till you're blue in the face that you do anyway?
That list is just... shocking. My mechanical knowledge is mostly theoretical, and I can do basic stuff on a practical level, but given a GTR engine I'm pretty sure I couldn't hash it up quite as comprehensively as that. I wouldn't even know where to start ruining it to that sort of degree.
That Neon looks absolutely brilliant. Such a pity the UK never got the SRT4. Suppose the crappy ones we got were punishment for Europe never sending the coolest versions of its cars over to the US.
Seconded. Had one as a rental last time I was in the U.S. Was absolutely nothing special, but when you're used to Chevy Spark rentals in the U.K. getting a great hulking V6 sedan with squashy bench seats for the same sort of money was quite endearing.
I'm not sure I'd even attempt a 22-hour drive with sleep. I've done 15 hours before - pretty tiring - and 21 hours sharing a drive with two others, which is tiring but at least allows person #3 to sleep in the back.
I've used Enterprise several times. Never been offered this service, but they aren't beyond giving my wallet a good old-fashioned shafting.
Right. It's definitely worse to have splashed actors to make good telly than it is to ruin the dining experience of dozens of actual customers...
