I'm not even a part of this but you made me feel really guilty. I pity your SO.

Alright, fine. But I think "Brazilian Jiu Jitsu" is the dominant brand practiced in MMA today.

Maybe it's not as raw, but I don't feel guilty watching the current UFC. The protective rules are there to make sure no one's life or career gets ended from a dirty shot. In the old days, you could potentially watch someone die in that ring. That's not something I want to watch.

You might want to provide context. You're sounding a little creepy.

Seconded. The UFC roster is deep with non-American nationalities. Brazil invented Jiu Jitsu. Greece invented wrestling. Humanity, in general, invented punching. Japan had one of the most brutal MMA divisions while the sport developed. This is an international sport. Maybe not as big as soccer, but it’s way more

I think the doctors understand that as long as the blood isn’t actually flowing into their eyes (presenting a disadvantage/hindrance to their ability to compete), the fighters aren’t in any serious danger. A title fight is a total of 25 minutes. Surface wounds will not kill you in that amount of time, and you can lose

I’ve heard that MMA is actually a lot safer than other combative sports in the long-term department. The short-term trauma is far and away more brutal than anything else even resembling a sport, but the ability of the ref to stop the fight really mitigates the long-term effects. Boxing and football tend to generate

My best guess is that game only does a "sweep" occasionally. Hackers probably make their modifications just before a session, drop into someone else's game, and leave the tainted artifact before they're caught with it. That's the only way I can figure it unless the hackers have also figured out ways to mask themselves

Time to experiment. Pick a theme and run with it. Try 198 pregnant women, and two maxed-out dwellers at the entrance to ward off raiders and respond to emergencies.

I concur - it really is that simple. “Don’t take candy from strangers” is apropos.

I understand no one in development can think of every scenario, but I’d be surprised if there’s not some sort of digital footprint to track down. It seems like a knee-jerk reaction to punish the people who pick them up, rather than the people who made them. The items were in the hands of the hackers at some point,

“Urban" must mean something different in Canada.

It's regional. I live in Michigan and I've never seen a Popeye's, but there are at least three KFC joints within a 10 minute drive.

It seems more tongue-in-cheek, to me. I don’t think they’re trying to be serious, just pulling a silly stunt for publicity.

Heretic!

Do the developers not have a way to track the items dropped by players? That seems like the most appropriate route - figure out who hacked it and then ban the account. If they're a repeat offender, go after the IP address and lock it out.

Honest question - if he infuriates you so, why watch?

It worked for Rikishi!

I haven’t paid any serious attention to pro wrestling in over a decade. I’ve watched maybe 10 minutes here and there, when I had time to kill and nothing else was on, but I’ve neither seen nor heard anything that would convince me to devote time to it in recent memory.

I did not know of this. The fatalities are different when performed against Kratos?
