Yes. Those would potentially be completely legal (I'm sure there are exceptions), but the big thing is you can't try and sell them as vehicles that could be titled, as that would constitute fraud.

Funny, but you forgot the part where the Doe's attempted to sell the kid, and lied to the potential buyer about it, which was the cause of the kid being crushed.
Homeland security != department of transportation. This is the DOT's job, so it's not a waste of time. The owner intentionally tried to mislead the potential buyer (It doesn't matter if the buyer was a DOT "undercover" guy) when he knew that the vehicle couldn't be titled. If he could have titled it in Florida, he…
Why does it always seem to be a dodge product that's involved in jumping? Are they all carriers of the latent "Jumpus Dukesofhazardous" gene?
And Seriously Ben, how about telling the whole story, or at least linking to someone who does? The cars aren't getting crushed because they're illegal. They're getting crushed because he tried to sell one of them and commit fraud.
It's a tick older than 10 years, but I'd nominate the Chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel. Brilliant engineering, and I still think it'd make a great speed run if you could catch it at the right time without cops.
I almost disagree. As a frequent seller/buyer of secondhand vehicles, guys that lie about whether you can legally get a title for something is a big threat, at least as far as threats that impact my life go.
He could have not tried to fraudulently sell one, and avoided the entire issue.
He claimed they were legal to title when he tried to sell them. Read the article I linked to above, it clears a lot of this up. The guy is a liar and a fraud, trying to sell a vehicle he knows can't be titled and telling a potential buyer that it's not a problem to get it titled. That's what got him in big trouble,…
He didn't get in trouble for owning them. He got in trouble when he tried to sell one and then lied about the legality of the car in trying to do so. Siding with him in this case is siding with the type of seller that lies to get a car sold, then laughs as he counts his cash while the new owner can't get a title.
I would encourage everyone to actually read a little about what actually happened before assuming Wisconsin is just being a dick about this. Here's a little taste...
I'll third Tune-in Radio. They've also got a nice webpage that works great at the office, if you're allowed to stream music there. I had issues with the old ESPN app when I switched to my G-nex running ICS, it would force close all the time, so I ended up picking up Tune-in, which is free in the android market.
(shudder)...dude was eating another guy's face.
For the love of all that's holy, you idiots, you have to be a martyr to get the virgins. Reading the comments in this thread make this sound like the most racist, haji-hating group of rednecks I've ever seen.
I'm okay with them dying, and I don't feel bad for them. I put them in the same category as I put all of the stupid people in the world that do stupid things and get killed doing them. If they don't take anyone out with them, give them a Darwin award and move on.
It's a Trap?
Seconded. Very well put.
I'll only disagree with that last statement. The people that do stupid things like this deserve to die this way.
Welcome to "Time Square".
But...But...we might NEEEEEED that money, for our war chest, or to buy another company, or...um....
