When I lived in Upstate NY, pick up trucks and (specifically) Cadillac Escalades were in the ditch more often then not.  They’d blow by you on the highway in a white out like they were invincible. 

I imagine the “work” these yacht owners do consists of maybe an hour a day telling someone else to make stuff happen.

I looked at an iD4.  Hyundai, Kia, Ford and Telsa have it all over the iD4.

It’s hard for me to get on board (no pun intended) with the hatred for the rich. We all want to improve our socioeconomic status and some people just got luckier than others. If it were you or me with billions, we’d probably spend it similarly.

When you’re rich enough all you have is free time. You don’t really need to work when you have $30 billion in liquid assets.

They dock at private slips with professional security. And if you can afford a megayacht, you can afford to embark and disembark via helicopter when it’s already at sea. Only the poors actually walk off their yachts, ugh.

But if we could cut their taxes a little more, they could add 50 ft to their yacht and hire another maid, for a real win for the middle class.

Yeah.  I completely agree.  Gulf money is what funded and funds al queda and other sunni extremist groups.  They treat women like second class citizens, have a form of guest work that is just slavery (google “Dubai is a parody”), and if you think inequality is awful in the US, it is fucking horrible in those countries…

When most people say “defund the police” they mean have some accounts take a look at their books to see how they are using their funding. And then moving the unnecessary funding to somewhere more useful
