How about two rear drive Utility pickups based on the NV2500 (big) and NV200 (small) utility van chassis? Almost no development cost. Still dependent on fleet sales though.
The trouble is that Renault’s whole line is either hatchbacks (which Americans won’t buy because too useful), or minivans (same) or CUVs (which are already platform mates to existing Nissans).
