Imagine for a moment, a world where you don’t trouble yourself with what other people choose as their means of transportation.
Imagine for a moment, a world where you don’t trouble yourself with what other people choose as their means of transportation.
But for all those dildos tooling around with 5,000lbs of curb weight to haul around their own 300-lb arse and nothing else
imagine a world whether other people’s choices in transportation don’t affect the environment all kids will have to live with and the safety of everyone else on the road.
In fairness, the VAST majority of people in the U.S. who own full-sized trucks do not need them. Ether a small truck or regular car would meet 95% of their needs. Which begs the question: why would someone purchase a vehicle that costs more to buy, gets worse gas mileage, handles worse, and takes up more space in a…
I have one of those little compact trucks. A small version of a 1996 Tacoma. It gets usually around 27-30MPG and we used it to commute to work for years. And I probably use it more as a truck than many bro-dozer guys. As in I volunteer at a museum and use it to haul the museum trailer back and forth to shows, probably…
Nobody would be worried if most P/Us drivers weren’t assholes.
I “trouble myself” with it because larger trucks and SUVs can be directly correlated to increased pedestrian fatalities and lead to a worse driving experience for those of us who don’t drive thirty foot tall compensation machines.
Yeah, there are no compact PU out there until the Mav drops and even that is going to stretch the definition of “truck,” being really a tall sedan with an open trunk.
If we’re talking about a 90s compact pickup, sure. I absolutely love old Rangers, S10s, and Toyota’s from the era. But the problem is that modern “compact” pickups are as big as full sized pickups from the last generation, and virtually anyone driving them would be better off with a crossover if they absolutely must…
Even compact pickups that get 35mpg? What about when I’m using mine to carpool with my wife?
Thank you. Cosign. My first thought is always, “asshole” (mostly environmentally driven). Or because I’ve had a few tailgate me and that grill seems annoyingly made to intimidate in that instance. Then “small dick.” Or I could be more polite and say “compensatory.”
I have nothing to contribute here, but I will chip in to express my undying vitriol towards trucks as a primary means of transportation.
Probably drives a 20 year-old Corolla from a buy-here, pay-here lot.
This guy is here...
My father literally said "unless it can drive to Florida wiithout recharging im not interested in an electric car". I looked at him and asked "can you?"
People already made that choice with gas cars around 400 miles when the German tried to offer up diesels.
“but mah road trips”
I’ll be patiently waiting in the comments for someone to come say how this EV won’t work for them because their commute is 600 miles each way in the snow towing a 12,000lb trailer.
