I had a similar thought. I saw plenty of memes comparing mandatory mask wearing to the mandatory wearing of seatbelts. I wonder if rather than convincing ppl to wear masks it instead persuaded them not to wear seatbelts.

The cheaper car having the higher fee is the red flag to me. I could justify the opposite situation as protecting performance bits like front splitters or lowered suspension during shipping. But the opposite, that seems like padding the price for profit.

If the sales guy (and their manager) had any clue, they’d want to have a relationship with the person who helps facilitate multiple deals over the course of a year over Joe Consumer who buys one car every 5 years.
