Reagan fucked up our Supreme Court for a generation. That’s pretty difficult to fix...

Which do you think kills more people annually - cobalt mining, or pollutants from internal combustion engines in Los Angeles and the surrounding area?

Yeah. Musk is exactly the same as Rockefeller. This ruthless Tesla automobile monopoly must be broken up...

Exactly...

What?!? Did you even read this article? By crushing competition and stifling innovation, customers for generations grossly overpaid for an inferior product.  Hardly a win/win for the customers.  It was a win/win/win for Standard Oil.

“Gunpowder doesn't kill people.  Bullets do".

Do have any idea how many times on this “car blog” there have been suggestions that our government stop subsidizing electric vehicles and instead continue to allow free enterprise and the invisible hand of the market dictate our transportation choices?

It needs to be made in the US. Or China. I’d love to be able to consider something made in Germany.  Don't get me started...

That sounds like a "regulation"?  Are you a Communist?

If you live over in the Peachtree Commons at Peachtree Landing, you should be able to avoid it...

Exactly. The guy is either trolling or he’s Musk...

I recently relocated from the LA area to Texas (suburban Austin). I’m downsizing and getting rid of my six California mansions, and am looking for a high-tech, efficient, comfortable, environmentally friendly vehicle with low maintenance costs, preferably produced by a newer company headed by a brilliant, visionary

OK.  You're joking, right?!?

Bingo. That’s exactly it and what people don’t seem to understand. This is not an arbitrary design that is different merely for the sake of being different.

The way the stock market works, is, if there are Tesla shareholders who hate the idea and design of the Cybertruck, and/or otherwise believe it to be a terrible mistake, they can sell their shares. They’ve been able to do so for quite some time. Conversely, if they think it will be a big hit, they can buy even more

Yeah.  Lack of emotional intelligence.  That's why Musk has been such a miserable failure in every business pursuit he's ever had his hand in.

What, exactly, do you find objectionable about the design of the Cybertruck? The aerodynamics? The visibility from the driver’s seat? The cost of production? Or is it primarily the looks - the fact that design isn’t simply some steroid-enhanced version of every other pickup truck ever made?

Musk knows that the typical pickup truck customer is extremely conservative and wants only what the rest of the herd wants - which is something very similar to every other pickup truck ever made.  Maybe this isn't the market that Musk is looking for.  He's not trying to take down the F150.  He doesn't have to.

So you asked for a truck that was cumbersome and costly to manufacture, subject to corrosion and disintegration from salt and snow, that looked exactly like every other pickup truck ever made, that lacked instant acceleration, and that failed to account for the basic material used for construction during the design
