Let’s face it. Pickups are popular because they’re popular. People want pickup trucks because their neighbors want pickup trucks. We’re a nation of simpletons. A nation of sheep.

I was also hoping to read some of the comments about the Austin America. Oh well, maybe there are some articles about it over at TheTruthAboutCars. They do have a functioning comment section.

It’s a shame the Comments won’t load for Nice Price or No Dice, because I had a lot to contribute regarding the Austin America - so I’ll just leave a comment here. What is the purpose of a column that specifically asks people to contribute their opinions and their knowledge, when it is often impossible for loyal

I would love to comment on this.  But I've learned that with Kinja, it simply isn't worth the time and aggravation...

Exactly.  If I post a comment here and Kinja notifies me that I have received a response, how do reply directly to that response without having to scroll down and read every comment looking for that response? Is there a way? (Because I am not going to invest the time necessary to do that). And if there is no way to

Additionally, we don’t have to compete on our highways with massive and potentially lethal tanker trucks delivering electricity for Teslas and other electric vehicles...

I also find that really annoying.  I assume it's so a given article gets more clicks.  Which is the whole point, isn't it?!?

I have a general question. If I post a comment here and Kinja notifies me that I have received a response, how do reply directly to that response without having to scroll down and read every comment looking for that response? Is there a way? (Because I am not going to invest the time necessary to do that). And if

I just got this in my “Notifications”... Gee, it sure would be swell if I could respond to this directly without having to wait half a day for the Comments to load and then scrolling through 159 different posts looking for the one that I received the “Notification” about.

Fun fact. Air pollution kills an estimated 100 people every month in Los Angeles. (And that’s just one city). Ridding the area of internal combustion engines would go a long way to reducing the death rate and the suffering.

There are no free lunches, but some lunches are substantially more costly and/or less healthy than others.  They're not all exactly the same.

“No point making everyone’s cars electric if they’re still charging through fossil fuels down the line...”

Many people do not realize that in most states, in most situations (including NY and NJ, it IS actually illegal to pass someone on the right ...

Luckily, elected government officials still have our backs ...

What's happened to our country?  If you can't trust used car dealers from Brooklyn, who CAN you trust.

Wait, you think the reason that the Department of Justice doesn’t prosecute more police officers is because they’re focusing instead on consumer crimes? Do you really think this is merely an issue of resource allocation?!?

“Taxing the shit” out of protected free speech would be an uunconstitutional violation of the First Amendment - unless it was a blanket tax applied across the board regardless of content.

There are lots of grey areas when it comes down to free speech and what gets First Amendment protection and what doesn't.  These cases are contested in Courts every single day and the law is constantly evolving.  License-plate First Amendment cases have recently been argued all the way up to the US Supreme Court.

That could certainly be admissible at his trial if he was ever picked up on a sex charge...
