I feel as if a person can’t survive with a 20% pay cut, they’ve set themselves up for failure, and that’s their own damn fault. Now, going down to zero income for an undetermined and possibly extensive amount of time, that could be another story.

I mean, I put about 20% of my income towards my retirement fund, and at least 10% is discretionary spending - isn’t that kinda the norm? I'll take a 20% pay cut vs being laid off, any time.
