Obviously inspection and maintenance/cleaning are important (especially in the salt belt), but these vehicles seem to experience brake line failures at a much higher rate than other vehicles that operate in the same geographical region with the same salt. That reeks of bad design/engineering/material selection.

I think classic Corvettes transform in to "exotics". And with a price limit of 80K and being able to go back to the 1960's to search for one, I'm sure he could have found SOMETHING better than a C7 Corvette to populate this list.

Its not a better car though. It has nice details and heritage. But the sum of the parts is far far far greater than the whole. Dry sump V8, tube frame chassis, sexy shape... still got washed thoroughly by a Honda. If all those parts can't make a decent car what's the point of having it?
