Highly customized 1,000hp cars doing hooligan things. What isn’t to like?
It’s interesting how they always mention Tesla’s financial results but don’t want to talk about what comes with it (industry worst quality and new vehicle launches that are years behind schedule).
Alan Mulally did it for Ford not even that long ago.
The finger pointing has begun. I give him 6 months max before he is gone.
Also: The 5 different teams that do nothing but track Engineer’s work.
Other manufacturers were doing turbine stuff in the same era. Ford had a Thunderbird in 1955 that deserves a mention just for the exhaust location:
Katech put one of those engines in a GMC Yukon during engine development:
“Tell us you watch OANN without telling us”
Corsair is the Lincoln version of the Ford Escape.
I get what you’re saying but worst case you leave the hatch open. It’s not the worst thing in the world.
Home Depot rents trucks for $20. I’d much rather do that on the rare occasion I buy a vanity than have to drive a CUV daily.
Dealers are struggling to sell them at MSRP. Anyone with a markup will be laughed at.
I’ve driven through Lafayette, IN a lot. It is not some metro area where people would be earning well above average. If anything, I’d expect below average wages in that area.

Where else can you sit in multiple models without being hassled by salesmen? We narrowed the vehicles we were considering a couple years ago at an autoshow because of quirks in each vehicle that we did not like.
Tooling up and validating multiple suppliers is not something the automakers do. I’m guessing some models get different badges though (depending on where or how they’re affixed) which may be sourced from a different supplier.
2035 is a long way away and most manufacturers are going that direction before that. I think it may actually be feasible.
