TIL a Mustang is a luxury car.

My experience in December 2018 was that the supply was much higher than demand. At that time I could find TDI wagons on every used lot around me.

Just looked at cars.com though and there isn’t much out there. Maybe I got the timing right.  2012 TDI wagon with 54k miles for 12k OTD.

I think “regret” might be too strong of a word. I sold back my 2010 which was a great car but I would not have bought the car back for what they paid, even today. The 2012 I have now was only purchased because it offered a lot of value for the price.

Bought a post-fix TDI in December. It’s been through 2 DPF’s since purchase, both replaced under warranty.

Looks like he’s making friends in Indycar:

What a snowflake.

I assume everything blamed on millennials?

The fenders and interior are different, most everything else is the same. Almost all parts are interchangeable between them. My NA8 is a Frankenstein of NA and NB parts, and even one NA6 one (the wiper motor).

Yep. The document they signed doesn’t outline specific actions and the same people that have been doing this for decades are going to fix it? I’ll believe it when I see it.

The C7 Corvette interior is closer to cars in it’s price range than a GTR interior is to a 911.

You have to remember the GTR now STARTS at 113k and the NISMO is 210k.  This brings NSX, 570S, high end 911, etc. comparisons into play.

You’re making it sound like a facelift when the entire top hat is different between NA and NB Miatas. I mean, outside of the convertible top/hardtop what non-underbody parts did they share?

Someone called them “Japanese Chrysler” in the comments once. I haven’t been able to unsee the similarities since then.

You said “one of” because US Auto in Sterling Heights is your favorite, right?

The Bolt has been on the market for 3 years. Radiator/water pumps are not common wear items at that point in any car’s life cycle so I’m not sure what you’re basing your comments on.

“only” 1.5 hours.

You say this until you’re a homeowner.

At some point the county should just call this a loss and bring in the tow trucks.

Cars are meant to be used. I’d rather see this happen than it collect dust in the corner.

As you said yourself, nothing that happened there isn’t fixable.

Was looking for info on these after seeing one today and it looks like it was yours.

To get manufacturers involved you have to make the development they’re doing on race cars worth the investment. Part of that analysis is transfer of the R&D knowledge to other areas outside of racing.  F1 is going to 18" wheels because it is closer to what is on the road today and the same could be said for their
