The standard range Model 3 only exists on Tesla’s website though.

I got 1/2 way through this post before realizing you were talking about a Model3 when you said “M3"
Eh, I like your game to encourage savings (especially when people are buying something that may be out of their league) but I wouldn’t actually put the money down if you have an ounce of fiscal responsibility. The concept of being “underwater” on a loan is more of a shell game than a real thing when you have the money…
Florida should never be used to represent the USA.
Mexico will pay for the ISS.
I think most with higher savings rates are targeting an age below 65. I have no intrest in dying at my desk.
Sitting in the airport waiting on a flight to the Rolex 24 to board right now. Total trip cost is going to be less than a typical american spends on a car payment. Yep, a pretty horrible life.
That angle makes it look way better than it does in person. The stepped roof line for the cargo area always sticks out to me:
Yep. People seem to ignore the interest rates in the equation. I have financed cars that I could have bought in cash due to sub 2% interest rates.
You just made an argument for 5% return assumptions while quoting a return of over 13% for the year.
and with the typical performance of 401k’s, starting early doesn’t really buy you that much anyways.
Scaling production also increases risk substantially. Recalls and retrofits at dealers are expensive enough when you’re dealing with low volume/high margin luxury cars. They can bankrupt a company when it comes to high volume/low margin cars like the Model 3.
I wouldn’t take any date from Musk seriously. Tesla has missed every production date they have given to investors and I’m sure their date for profitability will be pushed back as well.
And Musk turned up his nose when people from other automakers said his timelines were unrealistic and skipping prototype builds was a mistake. How has that worked out for him?
I figured the “400k” figure was a reference to the current top tax bracket considering a major portion of the article is the advantages of a roth to high income earnings:
Tax brackets have adjusted to median income over time. I don’t think you have to worry about being in the top tax bracket taking with 400k taxable income in 2068.
Same experience for me.
Hope he’s saving enough that he’s set if when Elon demands his firing.
Now at $51 plus $20 shipping. Is that enough for one’s dignity?
And by linking the auctions you have given them more traffic and potentially more bids.
