But if I can’t debadge my car, how will people know that I’m probably going to race them off the line and then cut them off without a turn signal?

*Thinks back to Corolla that ate 2 engines and 3 transmissions under warranty, while being a general rattle trap all around*
Typical dumb lazy comment.
Not a fan of echo chambers? Do you understand where you are?
Higher prices on Chinese-goods= less buying of Chinese goods.
So Hyundai cribbed luxury designs even in their concept cars?
But that’s just wrong. The days of Lincoln’s being ‘tarted up Ford’s’ are so 2000. They share a platform, sure, but Lincoln has gone out of its way to differentiate between the brands. The days of them slapping a new label on a Fusion are dead, man, get with the times.
So what they share platforms. Bentleys and Lamborghinis have shared platforms with Audis, which also share platforms with Porsche and lowly VW.
I build escapes and mkc’s and what you say is disengenious as hell. WWile they share the same platform they have extremely few parts in common. They’re nothing like the old escape and mariners.
Agreed. That red caddy is hideous
Nah, Jalopnik made fun of Lincoln constantly before their recen design turn. They went after them just as much as Caddy. You’re just in the minority on this.
I recently took Amtrak for the first time returning home from central IL to east TX. It’s an 11-12 hour drive, a 4-6 hour flight with a connection (or a considerably larger ask for a friend on the other end to come pick me up in DFW), and a ~17-hour train ride. The train actually takes me right to the small town I…
Because since 1965, a “Ford 4.9" is the common name for the 300ci Inline-6. Its found in the F-series and Bronco from ‘65 though ‘97.
This is infuriating. Why are they so focused on redoing their badging all the time when they should be focused on making products that are compelling on a global level? They are so lost.
This is a subsidy for car manufacturers (and, secondarily, to EV buyers - who I’m willing to bet are, on average, considerably wealthier than the median American).
Let’s be 100% honest here... How many middle class folks benefited from that tax break anyway?
See, my thought was kool-aid drinking capitalists -
I always liked the merlot/tan color combo. Those retro ‘50s funfetti colors were always a bit much, IMHO.
If by Sunday night, I don’t have something that can run and drive, I’ll be in a bad, bad spot.
I’ll take a drab Buick over whatever the hell Acura and Lexus have been up to
