Along with the F600 news Ford also announced that the E-series will be getting new interior updates.

It’s kind of how we’ve reached the point where a socialist isn’t run out of congress and put in social isolation. But here we are.

It all depends on your frame of reference. Every car on Earth is racking up 1.6 million miles every day as if you use the sun as reference. If you measure based on the galactic central point, it’s more like 12 million miles a day.

The inevitable, overly earnest responses from the pro-Tesla contingent will also be fun.

Last time I took a breathalyzer while absolutely almost blackout trashed I only blew a 0.07, so it’s definitely possible.

Probably because that is a Ford test mule, or I suppose not a mule at that point. Rivian’s not using brand new trucks and camouflaging body panels to test, they’re using older, used trucks and making them look like ordinary F150s.

No offense, but this is kind of old news. It also doesn’t really fit the F150 perfectly as they had to use an extended cab with a 5.5 foot bed, which you can only get that combo from Ford as a Raptor.

Because you can put a lot of weight on them at a tight angle, the brake interlock would fail, and adults (or kids) would accidentally drop them into neutral and cause them to roll.

Why not just put a turbo on a smaller displacement engine and prepare for hybridization ?

Wouldn’t a “Holy Grail” engine be something that runs on water, unicorn farts, or puppy dreams? We’re still talking about fossil fuel ICE here. It’s clever, but it’s not a game changer. I don't get the hype here.

Looks like interesting technology, but “Holy Grail” seems a bit hyperbolic.

Is Jalopnik, like, contractually obligated to attach “Holy-Grail” to every description of this engine?

And you realize that given the same gearing, a vehicle with a stronger engine actually does put more power/torque to the wheels, right?  Manufacturers don’t increase engine power just to throw it away with poor gearing.  Plus, 10-speed trans dude.  The ratio spread is massive.

From my personal observations, the first and often second owners typically tend to be people who use the luxury spec heavy duty trucks as tow rigs for big boats, horse trailers and mega campers - three lifestyles that are already very expensive. The price of entry for a luxury tow rig is just part of the package. It

That’s why a lot of guys switch to the 2wd version that is about half the size.

Brits criticizing cars from other countries in the 70's?

The only cars shittier than American cars(and, oh dear Christ, were they shitty) were British cars. Also, American cars started somewhat more regularly.

Dude that Marquis is dope as all hell.

You people, these days, insist on buying massive trucks and SUVs, but Automotive News says even that part of Honda’s business is lagging.
