I read his column regularly and I agree. He’s been doing this since his youth, he is passionate, has an incredible sense of humour and wit and is a tireless workaholic. These qualities are what made him and Top Gear so popular. In the world of car reviews, I don’t think anyone comes close.

A great writer should be entertaining even if you don’t agree with him.
As a guy that owns two rough riding vehicles, one track oriented, and one heavy duty pickup, it’s nice to slide in a smooth riding car every now and then. His point with the track edition is that he doesn’t want a punishing car for street duty, when the brother car is easy driving and still packed with performance.
