Here is how things are going with my 2004 Audi A4..... I noticed the radiator fans weren’t running as they should. I popped the hood, then noticed the crank damper pulley was quite wobbly. I then removed the belly pan and noticed a coolant leak from behind the timing belt cover, which lead to a leaking water pump. …
Current class B and C RV’s probably wouldn’t be too bad in a wreck. A class A in this kind of testing? That’d scare the living shit outta people.
FoxConn 2.0
The timing of this video is important as well. Just last week, a semi lost its brakes and smashed into traffic, killing two. There is now video of the driver NOT using one of these ramps (the one at Dead Man’s Curve on I-70 just west of Denver).
Its all about the DISRUPTION, MAAAAN! You don’t get what Elon is trying to do here!
The Ascent is the same deal. When I opened the hood, I was surprised to see.... what... a stealth scoop? And it isn’t just a little thing. Those... stealth scoops (?)... are big.
The Avs are a pretty crazy story this season. They started hot, then tanked. Two months ago, they were done. They fought their way back into the playoffs. Now look at them.
They would sell the ever loving crap outta these things in the US. Who the hell would buy one? Old people. They WANT the ease of getting in and out of a mini-van. They WANT luxury, and a Sienna just doesn’t have that (I have a fully loaded one, come at me). They WANT the reliability of a Toyota. They WANT the…
What they are actually doing is a mini Big Dig type deal. Tear down the old elevated part, and shove part of it underground. This will reunite some Denver urban neighborhoods with parks and streets again.
I believe there is some potential here, and this tunnel is a very rudimentary demonstrator of what might happen someday. Obviously, they have a very long way to go. Some municipality, somewhere, is going to give them the go ahead. Then we’ll see what they have.
I know the Cayman is almost a 911, and that Porsche crippled the Cayman. Though, for $18K, you can get a 996 with major issues taken care of. So why wouldn’t you? CP, only because this is 911 money for a Russian Cayman.
I had a couple of these. The last was a 2000. Slow and a bit underpowered, but kept running. The last one needed a bit more attention due to the oil burning issue, but that was it. For a truck that was used to haul dogs and all sorts of stuff, those were awesome.
It bothers me enough that I notice it. I only buy coated rotors. I look at cars in long term parking and think, “Oh, you’ve been sitting awhile, haven’t you?” Totally irrational irk.
44 seems like a low number given the number of schools and programs involved.
I find it really hard to believe that the kids were unwitting participants. Or they are the most oblivious, pampered idiots on the planet. “Geeeee, my Daddy paid for me to take the SAT all by myself!”
Dammit, this is what I get for hemming and hawing about this car for the past week or so. The only thing that has stopped me is that it is 1,500 miles away. There looks to be very little, if any, rust on it. Which, for these, is a damn miracle. I would want to drive it all time in crappy weather, which would kill it…
Make a US version, slap a Lexus badge on it, and my Dad buys it. Not only him, but thousands of retirees. They love the convenience of mini-vans, but don’t like how mundane they are. Sell them only in Florida, Arizona, and Nevada, and Toyota will never go broke.
I’m working my way through the latest JRE with Sam Harris, so right after the Dorsey interview. Joe has said many times that he wished he handled things differently. That is probably the biggest issue. Joe wants to talk to Dorsey like he talks with Bert Kreischer or Joey Diaz. So when somebody else comes on, Joe isn’t…
