I often tend lean back and just look at my screens by moving my eyes in circular motion. I just don’t see the advantage of strapping something to my head to see a desktop
I work in the offshore oil industry surveying and inspecting things like undersea pipelines and other infrastructure like oil wells etc..
I work in offshore oil & gas industry. And with the rules we have now I shouldn’t even post pics like this anymore .
We use it on some setups ( first picture has Synergy and KVM ) but I’ve had a lot of problems with it crashing at just the wrong moment. I control stuff in real time and when you can’t find your mouse or get into the right screen it really causes problems . It also seems to interfere with some of the software we use.
“Damn that is my dream setup right there”
These are a couple of the places where I work, we use KVM switches to access screen I don’t need all the time. So in reality I have something 30+ screens I can call up. But neck and eye strain is an issue for all of us. The whole VR things sound cool but I don’t think it will work well in actual use. We actually…
Killer of your back and neck ....
“(or like 300 degrees).”
I work in front of a wall of computer screens. This guy seems to need to do more head movement than I need to do to see 10-15 monitors.

Yes and yourself driving car will go I can’t see the road and give up.
I bet you can drive your car in heavy snow or rain when your car would have absolutely no clue where the road is anymore.
Yeah your local mechanic isn’t going fix or calibrate you LIDAR or inertial nav system...
Exactly .... These people have never seen how weather can effect LIDAR, RADAR, ultrasound etc... Heavy rain can seriously fuck with GPS not mention line of sight and multipathing issues in cities.
But autonomous car fanboys, who usually have absolutely no technical understanding about any of the technology involved works tell us how great this is.
.
I suspect this thing would be detectable by satellite just because of the heat signature...
