If you’re not used to using computers and all your drawing practice comes from pencil on paper, being able to draw on a screen like it’s a piece of paper will probably make transitioning to a wacom easier. So yeah, I’d say having a screen would be a big advantage for these people.

It’s funny this article came up as on saturday I just received a HUION 20 inch that I ordered (with a $200 off coupon that amazon was doing). I’ve had the same Wacom since 2008 and finally made the switch to a screen tablet. It was a pretty incredible difference. I would never suggest them to anyone new to digital art
