This makes one question airport security. All those draconian safety measures while a 16 year old runaway can sneak in undetected. Yet my shampoo and water bottles are safety risks.

The F-car used the GM 10 bolt corporate rear end. I can't remember the exact reason for GM installing it but IIRC it had something to do with the total weight of the car and flying under some gub'a'ment rule.
3-6k? I could do it for much much less.
if you want cars that will kill you in an accident be my guest. This is still a small car in modern day standards. Mini wouldn't be alive today if they didn't have a diverse lineup. You guys are just being obtuse.

The Challenger got too fat to fit through the door at the party.
I fail to see why everyone is complaining about rollover protection... It's called duck.
Fart can much? My 128i NA Straight Six sounds much better than this.

All. All of the guns.
its an automotive enthusiastic blog. A company (no matter how hated) made a high performance upgrade and they reported on it. just because people may not like the company doesn't mean that they shouldn't live up to what they are.
Comparing the Jetta wagon's sales with Porsches, forgotten Minis, and $100k Nissans is really just furthering the case that people don't buy them.
Many of us were excited, but a few of you had to remind us that, unlike Europeans, us yanks tend to buy the automatic gas-powered sedan version of everything. Diesels? Never going to sell here. Manuals? Get out! Wagons? You must be high.
Interior is pretty boring though.
Nissan needs to fire their entire design department
