Exactly - even NASCAR, while not my thing, is a lot harder than "turn left". When people tell me it's easy, I ask why they aren't making millions driving in NASCAR.

You'd be surprised how many first timers miss one, or more, of the turn outs when they make a pass. You're full of adrenaline and things are happening faster than you realize.

It's sort of like if there was a sport that had you build a ship in a bottle with glue and tweezers, and then blow it up. All while being timed.

Toyota "Urp... What a feeling" or "Moving you Forward... to the service line"

Yeah, I can't say I'm really looking at safety ratings before buying a car, and yes I do assume that cars on the market today are "safe enough".

Some cars elevate themselves to more than just cars. Some cars touch peoples lives every day, all around the world for generations. They connect people together, build relationships, memories, and life long companionship. Such was the life of the iconic VW bus.

Hardly. A neighbor down the street has an auto Corvette because an accident crippled his left leg and he always wanted a Corvette.

While I understand that modern cars are, in fact, better, I'm going to say it anyway:

You're trying to make your argument work (which I already told you it does) by comparing two completely different vehicles based on one metric (1/4 mile speed/time) alone.

I don't usually comment, but seeing as how I enjoy both your and Party-vi's comments most of the time I felt I had to chime in.

This makes me happy. That is all.

No problem! To get better 5-60 times, you just dip the clutch and free-rev before dumping it...

I feel bad for Subaru. When they made the WRX into a hatchback, all they heard were complaints. Now, the WRX is only a sedan. All they're hearing are complaints. Well, the complaints might soon stop: A WRX hatch is under consideration.

The title of article should be, "Nascar Champion flips off Nascar Champion."

Kurt won the Cup in 2004, Brad in 2012.

1967 GTO is my dream car. Finding one not a rust bucket, or un-molested becomes harder every year.

The Goat....always loved the stacked headlights, great execution of a simple design.

It's more cigar-shaped than arrow-shaped, but I'm a big fan of the Eagle Mk1.
