I would honestly much prefer that to being confined in a car with a stranger, stuck in underground single-lane traffic (especially during a pandemic). I’m not even claustrophobic but those photos make me queasy.

Maybe the solution is to have bigger vehicles that can carry more people in one go through the tunnel. If it’s really high volume, maybe link the larger vehicles together in a chain so that they all travel at once all at the same speed.

There is a superlative joy in just watching someone that is just so, so good at what they are doing.
