No excuses. RPN on that is >100 even if this is the only car that had the defect.

This is the worst excuse I’ve ever heard.

Until you ruin someone(s) entire life as they watch your head get obliterated when it hits something like a car/truck/wall. By doing it you acknowledge your own risk but also take away someones choice to not have PTSD.

This is a myth pushed hard by manufacturers trying to justify dropping cars. Because cars sell fine, even with no marketing support and an infamous transmission the Focus could easily sell over 100,000 units. The Fusion was regularly selling over 200,000 units annually when it was cancelled.

at that level, you either retire or are dismissed, you choose

compression.

Only if that dealer sells the car with a warranty. They’re not going to notice some metal shavings in the oil while people put 20 miles on it test driving it. If they sell is as-is some 20 year old with bad credit will buy it trying to be frugal and will now be driving a grenade.

All we know is that some random mechanic found “metal shavings”. Which obviously sounds terrible, but we don’t know how severe it is or where they are coming from. The engine could grenade next week, or run fine for another 80k miles. I wouldn’t feel horrible about letting a dealership take the risk on it; a new buyer

Y’know, I really dislike Hamilton in racing (excellent driver, overpowered car), but I’m personally really glad to see him leading the way here. I don’t mind seeing these protests, because it’s *not* about politics, it's about human rights and, specifically here, equality in racing

Kindly, get the fuck out of here with this bullshit.

You are part of the problem.

I might ordinarily agree with you, but not on this. On racism he is the one person within motor racing that should be heard.

I’d like to announce my concept all electric. It gets 12,000 miles on a single charge, charges in 14 seconds and does 0-60 in .4 seconds. It also seats 100 people and has 17 trunks. Deposits welcome. You can even name the thing whatever you want. IPO next week.

So a lot of these horror stories sound like they’re either overblown or stupid decisions on the part of the homeowners. First, you don’t agree to do the show until all the financials are laid out and agreed upon. You do this with your family attorney or a real estate attorney that you’ve hired for this purpose. Not

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. “Deals of the century” do happen - but generally not by an ad to the general public. Especially on Facebook or Craigslist. A local newspaper, maybe.

Here’s the response you’ll get from the “seller” if you reply to those ads:

Same with Oregon. Once we were looking for a parking spot at Target, and my wife was driving, and I said, “There’s one, between those two Subarus.” She replied, “You’ll have to be more specific. EVERY spot around here is between the Subarus.”

And a Tacoma was the closest thing they had to a RWD manual sportscar.

As you probably know, at one point the Toyota RAV4 V6 was actually the quickest zero-to-sixty car in their lineup.
