Yup, this. Both my A4s 6-speed transmissions shift nice and smooth. The only hiccup is in the winter for the first 2-3 miles it can be a bit sticky feeling but its more likely from me still running the original fluid at 100k miles (I know I know...) than a defect in the transmission.
