Why won’t they say the phrase “radical Christian terrorist”? Trump won’t even say the words. Terrible.

Why won’t the media report on this terrorism? Are they afraid of not being PC?!

When will white people address their culture of violence?

How was he radicalized? Where was he praying? Why didn’t neighbors report him?

An anecdote of why you can’t run government like a business. As told by Jamie Vollmer:

Putting everything aside, hatred of Trump, etc., this statement just bothers me to the core:

Came here to say just that — of course you can be “under budget” if you shaft contractors out of at least a quarter of what you owe them.

“I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my ‘ahead of schedule, under budget’ mentality to the government.”

I saw this on People’s website (don’t judge me) and sure enough, after like the first 5 comments there was one lady saying “this is not a marriage, they can’t consummate it because marriage is between a man and a woman”.

God, people like you are so dense. By definition, rejecting a trans woman to whom you’re attracted (i.e., because of who she is) because you find out after the fact that she has a trans history (i.e., because of something she never really was), has nothing to do with “attraction.” It has only to do with transphobia.

Rape by deception is real. This IS rape culture. Why is fraud okay with respect to accessing a woman’s body, but if you did the same with money or property you’d go to jail?

I’m not sure how I feel about the inclusion of “coercion such as lies.”

You know that part in Jessica Jones, where Jessica lies to Luke about killing his wife so he would have sex with her? It is kind of like that. People do fucked up shit to trick you into having sex with them. Also a huge reason why I didn’t care for JJ.

“I’ll use a condom.”

My first thought.

I completely agree. I call bullshit on a Republican senator suddenly caring about rape victims. When a woman is raped, it’s between her and her doctor, and anyone else she chooses to tell. Witnesses and people in the know can report “I am here to report a rape on campus” and they can divulge the perpetrator and serve

It’s “coercion such as lies and verbal pressure” so it’s not limited to the typical “you’d sleep with me if you really loved me” but includes things like “if you don’t, I’ll tell everyone you did anyway” or “my dad knows your dad and he will be very sorry to hear that you’re getting group fucked by all the frats.”

I think it means like, “I have a condom on” etc

I’m not super-thrilled about the proposed legislation, to be honest. It requires the name AND ADDRESS of all victims to be “divulged to campus leaders” which seems a bit troubling and vague and unlikely to encourage people to come forward. That, coupled with the criminal penalties for failure to report, seems likely

The number seems low.
