Sorry to correct you, it is preferable to bathe your cat a couple of times when it is young, to teach it that it will survive the experience. In future, when some horrible spill or injury occurs, it will dramatically reduce the terror of treatment. Just the opinion of someone who has worked with animals for 30+ years.

I honestly would not survive without my two cat buds. Hilarious, loving and unfathomable they are. If ANYONE EVER took a shot at being cruel to them, I would crush them like a sabre toothed people eater. Do not doubt me. Cat people are ferally sincere about their family ties.
