I shudder to think what the system requirements for this will be...
Ps4 won out because Xbox One was a hot mess at launch... Inferior components, higher price due to the yet again useless Kinect, issues with third party titles running subpar, and first party titles jumping to PC... I honestly see no point in owning an XB1 if you have a decent computer these days.
I look forward to the “Bungie, you said my character would grow with me for the next ten years; way to lie to customers again...” Rants when Destiny 2 announces its leaving it all behind.
The bosses were fairly easy, a couple of the challenge rooms you could unlock post game were a brutal test of timing though. The room that forces you to chain dash through a series of winding corridors covered with spike traps was especially challenging.
They finally fixed the frame rate?! Man that would have been nice months ago when I beat it; that game was brutal at 30fps....
The original Metal Gear Solid is still the best game in the series, I would argue the same for Resident Evil 2; most of the Ps1 era JRPGs also hold up incredibly well as well.
It’s simply too bad that Nintendo’s antiquated need to hold on to cartridges essentially killed the N64 and caused massive damage to their third party relationships; losing support from Capcom, Squaresoft, and Konami to Sony because discs offered better storage for higher resolution textures, cgi cutscenes, and better…
I think it’s a good sign, Destiny currently has a decent amount of endgame content with raiding, strike farming for exclusives, nightfall, daily activities, crucible, the archon forge, etc, and that’s just new content thanks to infusion Year 2 content is still viable as well for those who want/need it. A shorter raid…
Here’s the problem with raid matchmaking: Bungie’s matchmaking system sucks.
I feel like people hated KF not because of its technicality but because of its horrible rewards. The problem with the whole raid wasn’t that it was difficult it was that all it ever gave you was near worthless infusion fodder. No one wants to play a difficult piece of content every week just for loot they will…
People wouldn’t have to do this if Bungie would set the raid level to a more realistic value for regular people; giving us 3 1/2 days to grind through 25+ light levels, making each light level require several pieces of gear, and then making most drops cap well below the target recommendation of 360 is just asking for…
I can’t wait till mid season when something goes wrong and there’s just a giant green bar of dead pixels cutting across the court...
This feels like an unnecessary and somewhat foolish decision; every major company has a separate name for their Internet infrastructure; Valve has Steam, EA has Origin, Ubisoft has Uplay, GoG has Galaxy, etc...
I hated Hung Jury as well, I don’t care how good it is the fact that it blocks a quarter of the screen bothered the hell out of me.
Saying you are working on something during development is not and will never be a promise that it will be a feature in the final product. Off the cuff comments made during interviews during development are not binding contracts, they aren’t formal terms for what will or will not be included in your product.
First off, lying implies knowledge that what you are saying is untrue. So if for example when Murray made these comments he knew for a fact that they wouldn’t be in the game that would have made him a liar, I doubt that is the case here and what we are seeing is simply a case of being over ambitious.
You are right, beta testers did have a good idea of what the game would be like at release; it doesn’t change that for three years prior to release Blizzard showed and talked about features that weren’t there at launch like Arena combat, how runes worked, traversal abilities, etc... These were all features that were…
Agreed.
I wanted to pick it up for PC as well but I am still not quite sold on UWP for gaming. Until they either add .exe files that can be accessed for third party support apps or start working directly with third party accessory producers I refuse to buy into UWP.
