I will say that while I really enjoy the new Hatman, and the detailed accounts of Agent 47's obsessive compulsive desire to knock people out and steal all their hats; I am not overly fond of illusive targets...

This is ultimately the problem with our legal system, at some point having enough money makes you right even though you are clearly wrong...
Once you unlock more of Red’s upgrades combat gets better and fights get more difficult; but it’s much more of a strategy game than an ARPG like Bastion. You’ll spend a lot more time pausing and planning out attacks than running around and slashing at stuff.
As far as guest editors go you have been one of my favorites in recent history; even though we might not see eye to eye on every subject I consistently found the articles to be worth the read which isn’t always the case, and I appreciate the feedback it's nice to feel like part of a dialog rather than just a reader…
Agreed... It’s too bad the rest of the game missed out on that same energy.
That is fair, though many infinite rogue-likes fall way under previous generation download size limits with installation sizes well under a gig in size.
It’s worth noting that most of these games were also fairly late into last gen’s life cycle as well as produced by seasoned developers; Thatgamecompany for example had already been developing games for years before Journey and while it is a wonderful game it built heavily on what worked from Flow and Flower and…
I firmly agree that localized damage can go a long way to making a game feel a great deal more immersive; the example I will forever and always go to is Metal Gear Solid 2: SoL. From the ability to disable soldiers limbs, affect the effectiveness of tranquilizers, and shoot hand radios, to creating environmental…
Whether you are or are not confident with where you are coming from doesn’t change the literal meaning of these words.
This is certainly a good read, and while I do agree with you in some instances there are a few things that bother me about your argument...
All of the hubbub surrounding Ark right now is semantics. If Ark wasn’t classified as Early Access releasing new content wouldn’t be a problem; but because of two words, two words that don’t even accurately represent what they describe, people are up in arms.
Putting a game up for sale and allowing the public to purchase and access it is in fact the definition of being released.
Sure, there are bound to be bugs that are linked to new assets; but for the most part optimization for a game like Ark is done globally. You do not optimize your lighting, rendering, shaders, and various other coding for each specific asset, this would take ages; instead you program an engine that handles all of your…
Once again, the problem is that Early Access is a bullsh*t term. It misrepresents the current gaming environment and it creates a false sense of how games are developed.
You do understand that optimizing the DLC would in turn be optimizing the main game since it’s all part of the same engine. All optimization that would be done for the DLC is integrated back into to the main game. It’s an example of two birds, one stone.
Of course members were used to make DLC instead of finishing the main game... All of the concept artists, 3d modelers, animators, and sound engineers all ready did their work on the “Main game” those assets have been finished for months on end; now Wildcard could either a) force their creative staff to help code the…
You do understand that in terms of development you’re entire team doesn’t work on optimizing and fixing bugs, right? Aside from the people who are working diligently on coding the game to run better there is a whole staff worth of concept artists, 3d modelers, animators, sound engineers, etc... With the programmers…
I think that’s the point; you shouldn’t be able to escape a well timed ult.
Yeah, I am not quite sure why the decreased the bullet drop in BF1 for rifles; it’s absurd how far the starting rifle can fire with minimal drop. I spent a my first couple matches getting wrecked because I was trying to compensate for drop until I realized there is hardly any...
Agreed.
