Oddly enough the first big nostalgia moment for me was when you take the elevator up from the Watchdogs of Farron bonfire to find a Stray Demon waiting for you.

I can see that. Nocturne has a heavy emphasis on exploiting weaknesses, and until you figure out how it works and what demons you need to convert to your side during the early game it can be crazy difficult.
This is just a reminder of how stylized games can be just as gorgeous as hyper-realistic games... Everyone always wants to talk about high-res textures, mo-caping, lighting effects, etc... but all you really need to make a game look fantastic is great design aesthetics; and cutting back on trying to make things look…
This is why I’ve always prefered SMT to Persona... Don’t get me wrong the Persona games have always had better stories, but so much of it feels like busywork unlike say SMT:Nocturne which was a nice blend of storytelling and dungeon crawling that never felt too much like a talking simulator.
I think I will love FFXV for the story and world, but honestly I hated the gameplay in both demos... While I really like ARPGs there is something about it that still feels too hands off, the whole ‘hold and release’ attack system just felt boring to me.
I was actually pretty sure they were going to push for a world-wide release after all the delays... Oh well, hopefully TMS#FE can keep me busy until next year.
It’s amazing to me that you could make shovelwear that’s nearly identical to Wasteland 2 and call it Trashland without having a problem, but including the word Wasteland in the title of your completely different and original IP leads to legal action.
Watch his last video, he mentions only having 703 due to many of them not being able to be caught without cheating.
Use the Dragonslayer Shield, it makes that battle 20 times less frustrating trust me.
I understand why some one made this die, they did it so they could say “Hey look at this fancy die we made, isn’t it impressive.”
Yes, because cross referencing a table for every single roll is significantly easier than simply rolling a specific die.
I will say that over the past few years the Souls series and its spiritual siblings have become one of my favorite franchises of all time; there isn’t a single thing that I would change about them aside from the more frustrating glitches and some instances of terrible hit boxes.
While in theory this would work, it isn’t practical at all.
Right... That makes total sense.
This seems like one of those unnecessary “look what we made work” sort of creations. Reasonably the only purpose I can conceive for it is rolling to find specific results on a table with >100 and <120 unique results, since almost any other roll would likely be easier with a d20 or two d10s for percentage dice.
The thing that has always amazed me about this is that if you pick up a hacked item you are placed in a server with cheaters; why on earth was the person who originally had the hacked item allowed to be on a legit server anyways? I feel like this is some kind of bizarre catch 22.
There are more then two roll speeds, there’s still the fastest roll at below 50% equip, a slightly slower roll between 50-70%, the base roll speed between 70-90%, and the slow roll at 90-100%. Each roll speed is very noticeable.
Yeah, but poise break with a shield was often due to running out of stamina; in DS3 there are several enemy attacks that will break your poise with a shield without fully depleting your stamina first.
If you got the Dragonslayer Shield it’s far more manageable since blocking with it prevents most of his damage and its high stability makes it less of a stamina drain. It's still a tough fight, but it becomes a heck of a lot less punishing.
They are the three hardest bosses in the game without a doubt, and the only bosses that really forced me to adjust my strategies specifically to fight them. I definitely enjoyed the challenge; although I’ll admit the first time I fought the Nameless King was nothing short of rage inducing...
