“DAGON” is maybe the best adaptation of “The Shadow Over Innsmouth” one could hope for, and I hat that it doesn’t get brought up more when we talk about Stuart Gordon’s work.

Honestly, I think that Chappie is underrated. Die Antwoord is maybe a bit too scene chewy, but it’s a pretty solid movie overall.

“Within 30 seconds” of someone mentioning the idea of the Emperor coming back, everyone knew it was the right idea.

I’ll give this movie a try because 1930s swashbuckling movies is something we ALWAYS need more of.  Where are the Rocketeers or Mummys of today?  To say nothing of the Raiders.

It wasn’t actually regeneration at that point though.
As explained in The Tenth Planet and Power of the Daleks, it was “renew” and a function of the TARDIS. The Doctor literally goes over to the controls to activate it, all the levers and dials start moving, there’s a massive humming power build-up, and then he changes…

They hint in the final confrontation that there might be more similar shape-shifting monsters out there. My assumption about that final scratch scene is that she may have run into another one following the final confrontation.

If you enjoy animated movies, he’s very good in the underrated Book of Life. He’s even a surprisingly talented singer.
