Setting up email on an iPhone takes less than 5 minutes. If it takes more than 5 minutes it is because the customer does not know the SMTP server information that they need. This is no fault of Apple's. I used to have a Blackberry, and needed this information to set up my email on that as well.

I quit my Apple job about a year ago now, and I don't really regret that decision.
