Baki the Grappler. Probably the OVA as the series didn't get as much airtime in the US (I personally prefer the OVA as it is more lighthearted). One of my favorite scenes is where Doppo Orochi brutalizes a stone pipe to open the karate tournament.

Wow it's exactly like every other Zelda game, but wait for it.... there's a WOMAN rescuing a MAN!!!! Holy crap! It's like turning gender stereotypes on their head!! The patriarchy is in disarray! We no longer have to endure the shackles of heteronormative tyranny!!!! This is a groundbreaking moment in video games!
