XIV ARR has me tempted, and I'm not even really a fan of MMOs.
I try to make an effort to play a game unmodded before I go crazy with the mods, and even when I do use mods, I don't like it when those mods stray from the original flavor of the game too much.

I've played them all. At one point, I didn't consider myself a JRPG fan in any way. They bored me. FFXII was the first one to really click, and it was the first one I finished. Since then, I've developed a love of JRPGs.
I read somewhere that Basch was originally supposed to be the main character, but Square Enix said he wasn't "Japanese" enough to appeal to the Japanese audience, so they made him come up with Vaan.
