You can still see the indent in the grille itself for the plastic insert that’s supposed to divide it. My guess is that there’s going to be sensors in there, and they’re testing the pre-production vehicle with the plastic insert removed in order to better manipulate or swap out the sensors.

Even now, it still looks as though it’s wearing the trunk lid from a different car.

Unfortunately.  But we can be exceptional and pay twice as much for it. Yay!

welcome to the U.S.A where that stat is 3-4 times worse than its peers. :(

It’s good to be an old(er) fart sometimes. 5 years of undergrad plus 3 of grad school and I only owed 30K or so - good state schools, and a fat scholarship to law school. With the old low interest rate consolidation loans, $166/mo and I am in NO hurry to pay it off at 1.75% - free money! Even used to be able to deduct

If it was really a robust bus system more people would use it.

I’m not that dismissive - and that profit really isn’t good enough for that much capital being invested in the business.

But they aren’t crashing and burning, either. A heck of a lot of this was restructuring Europe - going from 24 factories to 18. That ain’t cheap.

And despite a huge pension charge for Europe, their

Exactly. Ford’s profit after everything was only $215 million in the 4th quarter. If that isn’t a good enough profit in a single quarter, I wouldn’t mind having it if you don’t want it.

The DID cut their product lines in half, and have been laying off people over the last decade. Remember both Ford and GM stopping car production?

Neutral:

Also note that while people are freaking out on Ford, the news isn’t as bad as you would think. They didn’t take that pension charge for any North American employees - every last cent of it was for their European operations. And why did they have to take that charge? 1) To fix their European pensions, which will help

I whine a lot about "Government regulation" and criminally underpay all of my workers, except one guy who I pay thousands of times his actual value. I like to call him the "CEO"

But you also have Texas politics.

That’s what I need, some money to launder! Also some laundry money.

Buying this today

Prominent in the city’s grant proposal was its aim to reduce South Linden’s above-average infant mortality rate. By improving access for pregnant women to St. Stephen’s clinic and its food pantry, the city hoped to show it could bring that rate down.”

First gear: I would take all this bad news with a grain of salt. Every company I know reports all sorts of problems in the 4th quarter. Problems are always backloaded into the 4th quarter and the nature of having so many holidays in that quarter always has an impact that accountants never seem to understand.

4th Gear: Oh lord. Elon is going to build a gigafactory with Texas labor laws and Texas taxes and by the time he’s done, he’ll wonder why anyone does literally *anything* business related on the west coast. Ever.

Why am I not buying? I’d be happy to buy. Just need someone to spot me a large chunk of money first.

I also "eke out" a meager living of $700 million
