Flip side though, you do get Ford's warranty and dealer network for repairs.

I think Lincoln interiors are pretty great. This seems like a good collaboration.

Lincoln on a skateboard?

I am sad to report that I love the Continental bulge grafted onto the otherwise anonymous Rivian.

what are you guys talking about? There have been Electric Lincolns for over 50 years!

Yup. Down the street is a plumbing supply store, the daily delivery trucks and haulers are two single cab long bed Tundras that are beat to shit.

I bet they have a bazillion miles and probably run great. People seem to forget real trucks are ugly and beat.

Good to know. When I see a Ford Ranger, I automatically assume twat driver and prepare to have someone tailgate me. Sort of glad I have a massive trailer hitch/towbar on my Rangie.

Where, though? These are all just concepts. Rivan, The Cybertruck, this Karma creation (kreation?) - they’re all just silly design exercises until at least one of them enters production.

Am I correct in seeing that no one has yet commented on the KITT-like lights on the front? Really digging deep for futuristic design accents.

“Better than the Cybertruck” isn’t a very high bar, but I think it clears it.

“so why doesn’t ford just make a BEV version of the F-150"

Cybernuts.

Jason, the 80s promised us that the future would be filled with vehicles like these. Manufacturers are just fulfilling the prophesy.

If you just want a track toy conversions can make sense since you don’t need a ton of range.

EV Wests E36 or Mountain pass Performance’s Evora are pretty good examples of what’s possible with today’s tech. And the salvage yards will soon start filling up with Model 3s to pick drivetrain components and battery packs

Jalopnik:

just curious, what was the maintenance?

I’m sorry Bradley. This car doesn’t meet my own extremely specific needs and more importantly, I don’t like the idea of it as I’m totally averse to change. Therefore; this car is a total heap of shit that has no right to exist and anyone that buys one is a moron.

You might be overreacting to a composite picture made for a manufacturer’s website having issues <1% of the population will care about.

Agreed. Most people who haven’t lived with an EV radically overestimate how much range they need.

“Feel” ain’t good enough anymore, Robb.
