But the eyes on the front go with the tongue sticking out at the bottom!

Agreed about the front end, although it is less annoying every time I see it and in person it actually looks OK. In the end it isn’t bad enough to put me off of getting one.

In America, it would have to be the R1C.

This is a mid-sized pickup, smaller than the f150, more like a contemporary ranger size. Should do well for most people.

I imagine just the brand recognition they’ll get from Amazon delivery vans alone will probably be all the springboard they need (if I’m going to play the prediction game). I’m also assuming Amazon will use Rivian-branded vans, and not slap “A” badges on them.

But how is one supposed to overcompensate with a small pickup?

I want Rivian to work out, real bad. I am watching it super closely and avoiding buying the truck that I want until I see how they do. I’m not in a rush. Also waiting (hoping) for them to go public.

I think Ford will set the table for EV pricing when the electric F150 drops. The volume they already have will give them a lot of influence to establish standards including price

Six of one half a dozen of the other, but the Rivian is my pick. Why? It’s a Michigan company and I’ll support the home team first.

Neutral: Probably go with the F-150 Electroboost when it comes out.

I’d really love to Moab a Rivian or Cybertruck. With electric motors on all 4, good angles, buckets of torque at low speed, it could really crawl up some nastry stuff if they set these things up right. That is, if you were crazy enough to take a $60,000 truck off road. I expect to see Saudi princes jumping sand dunes

1st Gear: Theoretically BEV’s should be cheaper than ICE vehicles in the long run. The simplicity of the electric motors and transmissions (if any) and lack of a years-long development process should offset the added unit cost of the batteries.

Rivian, and while it’s natural to compare the only two realistic EV trucks to soon be on the market, I think they’re going after very different demographics.

Rivian vs Cybertruck?

I think GM screwed the pooch when they declined to work with Rivian. Now Ford will be a few steps ahead of GM, and GM will be stuck with Workhorse which hasn’t shown any signs of producing a truck that can compete with Rivian.

As I am not Fox McCloud given those two options the Rivian is superior.

Rivian, as they still believe the driver is a key part of the equation to personal transportation.

R1S, if Greta approves

Is this the first time in history that something came in cheaper than expected? I’m impressed with Rivian if they can pull it off.

Rivian can’t get here soon enough.
