Do EVs Have a Women Problem?

She bought a 2014? Leaf for like $7k. Definitely not a new car, but it was in really good condition and the battery had been replaced in 2017. The last time I talked to her she said the car has ~85 miles of range with the current degradation level of her battery. She lives in a city and really only needs to drive 10

Musk didn’t “start” Tesla. He bought an already existing company and then retroactively called himself a founder.

You guys forgot to shit on GM today

I’ve been saying this for years, broads love EVs.

I think several million 4WD and SUVs on the road that has never been within 10 miles of a patch of dirt will prove that there are a significant number of auto buyers out there who rarely think about actual use of the thing they are buying.

Bitchin'

Seriously, what do you think the B stands for in BEV ?

Oh definitely. It’s like having a call centre for banking, you have to learn each county’s laws before you start taking calls.

THIS makes more sense than fully autonomous trucks. Remote operated trucks, with seemless driver switching, designated breaks and closely timed breaks.  No need to bore the heck out of a driver with endless hours on the same road.  And everybody could sleep in their own bed at night while the trucks run 24/7.

Maybe that should be its own racing league. “Formula-R(emote) or something.

I think the real story here is that someone managed to drift a Lincoln MKZ.

Yeah, I’m EV curious. I just don’t see spending an extra 10K for one. The numbers still don’t work out. EV resale values are dismal too.

I think the biggest issue with BMW is a change in how people drive. 30 years ago, BMWs had a sporty edge. They road a bit more buttoned down than a normal luxury car, they made a bit more noise. And drivers wanted them.

Uh.... falling into water at high speeds is MUCH more dangerous than falling onto solid ground at high speeds.

Reminds me of something…

So it’s basically life sized drone racing.
