Ok, a Tesla owner who won’t see one cent from Tesla lied for no reason. Sure. How helpful were those cameras and radar in the parking lot videos where the Tesla’s drive worse than a 12 year old?

Also the car is uglier. 

Apparently Apple was interested at one point but they don't want Musk. If he falls out of favor with the board, and that's a big if, Apple would probably be interested again. 

And yet it still hit someone’s garage. Almost as if none of that is ready for beta testing on people.

That’s about what the car is actually capable of. Anything more is going to be a big issue. 

Tesla’s have been capable of this already. I’ve seen videos of them doing this. The part that was new is that now you can abuse it by using it when you can’t see the vehicle in a parking lot, so it will find you and drive to you.

I think it needs LIDAR to see everyone within 150 feet of the car and predict their trajectory. And maybe maps. And years of testing. Nevermind, that’s not bleeding edge enough.

It’s hard enough not running them over when you’re actually in the car, since they dart out without warning. How is someone supposed to avoid hitting them with a smartphone app while not in the car? Being across the parking lot means there are angles that you could see your car and not see a child. Seems even more…

It’s futuristic and cool! So they do not care.
