If Donald Trump imposes tariffs on Canadian automobile imports, we can’t wait for impeachment.  We must burn down the Capital.

Hey at least it’s not “Drifting is not a sport” anymore. Progress!

I would go as far as calling it “motorsports competition,” but I agree it’s not racing.

For everyone else who has no idea what that reference was:

First gear: The morons (unless they are self motivated rich people) who voted for Trump are the frogs, and Trump is the scorpion. This is who he is, this is his nature. Thanks real americans!

The race was good. Jalopnik’s “coverage” was awful, as per the norm.

It would really be great to just have everyone’s in-car streams live. Just a grid of all the competitors, click the one you want to watch, and watch their run. Bonus points if you can set up an automated curation for multiple cameras (e.g. stitch together the on course camera feeds with the in car feed). Pikes peak

Why buy a 9 year old Mercedes with 140,000 miles when you could literally do anything else with $7500 and probably come out further ahead?

Mate. I live here. It’s also (clearly) a bit of a piss take. I’m in my living room and the sun is shining its best on London.

Formula Drift @ Wall Stadium Speedway, Wall Township, NJ. First races were yesterday. Starts at 1.

Sure. Car makers can budget in the R&D, warranty costs, etc to build an over-the-top compensation statement (looking at you, Raptor, TRX, ZR2. . .). But when I want a regular cab, half-ton (or 3/4), 2wd pickup truck with a full-size bed, v8, and a 5-speed, it’s a bad financial decision because of warranty costs, R&D,

you’re right, a V12 will be far better.

I would run for 2 season than everybody would left because it’s too expensive. See: LMP1

A manual? I’m not convinced Trump knows how to drive at all.

Owning isn’t driving.

Well that was fucking stupid. Why the fuck would someone do this!? Does this not seem obviously bad?

The way I see it, you’re hurtling through the air at high altitude with at least dozens of other people in a pressurized metal tube partially filled with jet fuel. In a country that not an insignificant number of people would like to see burned to the ground. I’d rather they make things a little inconvenient for us
