Yeah Kinja is acting weird and they didn’t upload. See my reply, I reattached them and they worked this time.

Since the damn photos didn’t upload, here’s the Mog:
I believe they fixed the booster issues for the 2nd gen. The diaphragms are junk and tear. The CX-9 recently had an NHTSA mandated recall on them. If you search around, a number of 1st gen 3 owners have mystery brake problems that have been misdiagnosed as master cylinder or ABS pump. If you have a brake pedal…
I have an ‘08 with 80,000 miles. When I bought it the suction hose on the power steering leaked ($100 from Mazda). The bumper was also loose (Mazda used very brittle plastics, it is VERY easy to break the bumper if you curb the car). Also, be wary of Mazda’s plastic painted parts: My spoiler is starting to flake. …
I also don’t see many 2013 Mazdaspeed3s on the road. They are surprisingly uncommon, despite how fun and practical they are. You’d definitely be different if you had one of these. Hope you can drive stick!
This first one I did not take. It is my dad’s 1953 Morgan and he took it sometime in the early 90s. This was taken on real black and white film that he processed himself in his own darkroom. The original print is signed by both Peter and Charles Morgan, the last two CEOs of the company.
Like I said, we never drove the car after it failed competition, but the prevailing theory was it was built so poorly we couldn’t get it to corner weight properly. The chassis was tweaked and the suspension bound so it was difficult to get all four tires to stay on the ground long enough to lock. We had a single…
That is one theory. However I’m pretty sure it’s a sensor gone bad. it is a very erratic misfire and only happens when the car is warmed up and in open loop. Thinking MAF or something else important, but not bad enough to throw a code.
Black cars. Don’t ask me why, but my experience with black or dark colored cars has been nothing short of nightmarish. Here’s just a few of the weird things I’ve had happen with black painted cars:
The line “you can’t teach old dogs new tricks” springs immediately to mind. Besides, everyone will at some point fall into “grumpy old man” category. Perfect example: do you have a favorite movie/TV show/comic you loved as a kid? How many times has it been remade? Have you ever said “this was better when I was a…
Spoiler alert: he is. Just read some of his columns for The Sun. They’re full of bitter old man views, which...makes sense. He’s an old dude who grew up in a different time. He is entitled to his opinion, just like every other person in the world. Top Gear and Grand Tour are not activist shows: they aren’t trying…
Never trim the plug flush. Leave about 1/4-1/2" hanging out. If you cut it flush the plug can suck into the tire and you’re back to square one. Pro-tip from an ex-tire changer.
This is only car sticker you need.
Confirmed it is his parents:
Because NASCAR. It gives the viewers at home the idea that you too could buy a shop, and a welder, bend up some tubes and go racin’. It’s a long holdover from the days when the cars were actual road cars with roll cages and stripped out glass. However the fact that they are all hand built is what interests me in…
Clarification: Zanardi did all of his F1 driving BEFORE his crash. He started in F1, moved to CART after Lotus folded (the first time), then returned to F1 after his two CART championships. He then went back to CART where he was nearly killed. Also, the driver who hit Zanardi was Alex Tagliani.
I guess none of the local dealers were willing to get her one with a manual. And since I’m not a fan of Subaru in general, I didn’t bother to look it up and pointed her in the direction of the Honda.
If it came in manual from the factory you’d be dead on. And yes, not having that option does turn buyers off. I know one friend (a female friend even) who passed on the Crosstek because it didn’t have a manual. She went with an HR-V instead.
I will happily admit I rocked out to Ninja Rap while on a business trip a few weeks ago. It made the 6-hour drive much more enjoyable.
The radar in the Tesla is mounted in the rearview mirror, so in theory it should be able to “see” what’s above the beltline. If they’re relying more on radar, then this should more-or-less solve the low-speed trailer crashing. However, high speed accidents are still a worry. Not sure what the range on the radar is,…
