I’ve seen multiple people on twitter say their young children asked “Who’s Bill Clinton? Is he related to Hillary?”

Ok, I don’t where to put this... I am having major “feels” about this!

I have so many strong, conflicting feelings about HRC. I understand how silly it is to have personal reactions to politicians—like every person who “wanted to have a beer with George Bush” made my blood boil—but there’s just something about Hillary I have always really liked. Ever since the 90s. She just seems sweet

What a time to be alive.

She sounded so genuinly grateful that it was just made me :)

Hey Silver, just wanted to give you a heads up about the existence of the ‘dismiss’ feature in case you didn’t already know... click on the three dots to the right of the star on a comment that is a reply to you, and you can dismiss. :-)

In no way empty symbolism. So many of the issues written about on this blog would not be a problem if only women were regarded as actual valued members of half of the human race.

I have to admit, the woman who was literally alive to see the 19th amendment passing being part of the nomination process of what could be the first female president is...humbling.

Have to admit I teared up when the woman from the South Dakota delegation said “the first president to be called Madame President” while casting the decisive votes.

I’m 66 years old. I became a feminist when I was 5, and my older sister was told she could “join” a model airplane club my father belonged to. She could pay dues, but not attend meetings or meet because she was a girl.(My father promptly “unjoined” that club!) I’ve been waiting 61 years for today.

Y’all, I am in tears over here. This moment is beautiful. My sister, my tiny new baby niece - they are living in a time when they could conceivably be president.

I’m with her.

It’s astonishing—and infuriating—to me how much women even a few years younger than me seem to take for granted, and think will always be there. I saw an 18 year old saying women are equal now. They haven’t been in the real world yet, I get it, but my god. How can you pay even the slightest bit of attention to the

“Just because we all accept the principle of equality, doesn’t mean that you don’t have to fight to keep it alive and also to continue to pursue what that principle should mean in people’s actual live[s]”

I just found out the emails that were hacked were all from May after the election was decided. From the tone of the reaction you’d think they were from the day after Bernie announced. Are they bad? Yes. DWS and the staffers involved should all be gone today. BUT, it’s not nearly as awful as people are trying to make

When even a hardcore Bernie supporter can admit that the email “controversy” is complete bullshit, then everyone just looks fucking stupid.

God forbid a politician actually evolve based on facts, research and evidence. Elizabeth Warren was an actual republican, aren’t you glad she evolved? . In Virginia Tim Kaine took down our sociopath republicans effectively and consistently on their own turf. He has 100% from planned parenthood and an F from the NRA.

I’m excited! But mostly because Tim’s brother, Stephen Kaine, was my cardiologist growing up in Kansas City. He saved my life, as well as many others. Awesome family!

Clinton’s announcement was unsurprisingly smooth

“Still not an actual liberal. I’m so done with the Democratic Party.”
