I disagree with this comment. Take a look at pickup truck owners, down here in the south it’s a way of life... everyone has them. No one uses them as pickup trucks anymore, rather they are large luxurious vehicles that are used as commuters. That’s the primary reason you see trucks loaded with more and more…

offroad, solid axle is generally agreed upon being better, as it’s more durable, less moving parts, and force on one side inherently pushes the other side down, sometimes increasing it’s grip.

IFS is better/softer on the road, and packaging is sightly easier.

2017,2018,2019? Last three have been IFS. Its a great spectacle watching them drive so much different through the course but i think the IFS technology is tipping the scales in their favor. My 4600 class truck will be SFA FWIW.
