The TL1000R is one of my favorite liter bikes not named a Ducati!  Very under rated engine IMHO.  With a good exhaust system they also sound soooooo good!

You’re assuming they would use the exact same V8 in terms of cam/ compression/etc?

Uh.....seems pretty obvious that the engine bay would have been designed larger if they started out with a V8 in the first place.  This argument that a V8 wouldn’t fit correctly seems strange considering it was all new.

Instant torque will make this transition fairly easy to get used to, even for the most die-hard of us dino-burners!

That is the silver lining here, at least our future with EVs is full of intense mind-numbing power.  When I was your age the car industry was so doom and gloom because all horsepower was gone and most platforms were shifting to FWD.  It was depressing.
